You may not remember this, but George was a groundbreaking character for his day. A real icon — and we’ve lost a few this year. RIP, good sir. Sad, I loved watching The Jeffersons on Nick @ Nite as a kid.

The scene in The Basketball Diaries where Jim is crying outside his mom’s door asking for money is the hardest movie scene to watch ever

I can’t think of an actor who could have pulled off that scene better than Leonardo DiCaprio.

I wish this had been a better movie so I could like it more. I’m about to write a paper on it for my cross-cultural class, & I actually enjoyed the performances by most of the characters (especially Nia Long) but the plot just felt too simplified. Reminded me of a bad movie about Christianity. Evan Ross is pretty cute, btw (and happens to be Diana Ross’ son)
